Kyoto – Day 5

Another early start and this time to Nara. Deer roam freely throughout Nara and bow to ask you to feed them. On the outskirts of the park, crackers are sold so you can feed the deer. Most are tame and even allow you to stroke them, but some can be a little more persistent if they think you have crackers!! It was definitely an experience!

The grounds of the park are beautiful and also home to Todaiji temple which houses one of Japan’s largest bronze statues of Buddha.
