Updates
It's been a while since I wrote my first Yoga journey post, and I thought it was about time for an update as I feel I have come some way since then.
I really started to challenge myself after attending a couple of classes when I was away in Ibiza. It was such a wonderful experience in the most beautiful setting.I had a one-to-one with one instructor going over moves which are the more simple poses, however shown how to hold myself properly - learning a small adjusment makes such a different. I learnt how to jump-back into Chaturanga Dandasana. I was hooked so returned for another class with a different instructor, Isaac, a few days later. This class was incredible and was a yoga class like no other. We started with the rhythm of Yankadi, moving with the music and transitioning into the first asana. Isaac taught us that yoga is not about strict poses but its about enjoyment, exploration with how far we can challenge ourselves, that yoga is life. I was also shown how to hold myself in a headstand which was a huge achievement in my journey as this was something I never ever thought I could do.
I came home from Ibiza with a deeper love for my practise. I continued to practice headstands, crows, and improving my balance and transitions from move to move.
I have been building my confidence further and further, and its made me more confident in my own skin. I feel so nourished and have a new lease of life. I have decided I would love to learn more and have looked into yoga teacher training courses. I am toying with the idea of doing it here in the UK, or to the home of yoga in India. I am looking at ways to finance this in the future, but I can't wait to see where this journey will take me.
